Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups of cubed watermelon
  • 1 cup of cold water
  • 1/4 cup of simple syrup
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Ice cubes

Instructions
 

  • In a blender, add the cubed watermelon and blend until smooth.
  • Strain the watermelon juice into a pitcher to remove any pulp.
  • Add the cold water, simple syrup, and lime juice into the pitcher and stir well.
  • Taste and adjust sweetness with more simple syrup if desired.
  • Add in ice cubes to chill the agua fresca.
  • Serve in glasses with additional ice cubes and lime wedges for garnish.

Notes

For a more adult version, add a splash of tequila or vodka to the agua fresca.
You can also add in some fresh mint leaves for a refreshing twist.
If you prefer a sweeter drink, you can use honey instead of simple syrup.
This recipe can also be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge for up to 2 days. Just give it a good stir before serving.
