Equipment

  • 1 small saucepan
  • Whisk
  • Milk frother (optional)
  • Mug or glass for serving

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup - optional
  • Dash of black pepper to enhance absorption

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, heat almond milk over medium-low heat.
  • Add turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, and vanilla extract to the saucepan. Whisk to combine.
  • If using sweetener, add honey or maple syrup to the mixture and whisk until dissolved.
  • Let the latte simmer for 2-3 minutes, whisking occasionally.
  • For a frothier latte, use a milk frother to create foam on top.
  • Pour the latte into a mug or glass and top with a dash of black pepper for enhanced absorption.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For a creamier latte, you can use full-fat coconut milk instead of almond milk.
Add a pinch of cayenne pepper for a spicy kick.
If using fresh turmeric, use 1-inch piece grated or finely chopped.
To make a larger batch, adjust ingredient quantities and use a larger saucepan.
