Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 and 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 2/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce
  • Sea salt for sprinkling on top

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter in 30 second intervals until fully melted.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, and salt. Mix well.
  • Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
  • Slowly stir in the flour until just combined.
  • Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.
  • Drizzle the salted caramel sauce over the top of the brownie batter. Use a knife to swirl the caramel into the batter.
  • Sprinkle sea salt on top.
  • Bake for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Let the brownies cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

For an extra indulgent treat, top the warm brownies with a scoop of vanilla ice cream before serving.
You can use store-bought salted caramel sauce or make your own at home.
If you prefer a more subtle salted caramel flavor, you can use a plain caramel sauce and add a pinch of sea salt on top.
