Ingredients
  

  • 1 can - 15 oz chickpeas (drained and rinsed)
  • 1/2 cup tahini - sesame paste
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic - minced
  • 1 medium roasted red pepper - peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin - optional
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2-3 tablespoons water - as needed for consistency

Instructions
 

  • Combine all the ingredients in the food processor.
  • Blend until smooth, adding water as needed to reach desired consistency.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  • Transfer to a serving bowl and drizzle with olive oil.
  • Serve with pita chips or fresh veggie sticks.

Notes

For a creamier texture, blend the hummus longer until smooth.
Try adding spices like cumin or paprika for an extra kick!
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
