Ingredients
  

  • 6 large lemons
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 6 cups water
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon slices - optional

Instructions
 

  • Cut the lemons in half and squeeze out the juice using a juicer or lemon squeezer. You should get about 1 cup of lemon juice.
  • In a pitcher, mix together the lemon juice and sugar until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  • Add 6 cups of water to the pitcher and stir well.
  • Taste the lemonade and adjust the sweetness to your liking by adding more sugar if needed.
  • Add ice cubes to a glass and pour the lemonade over the ice.
  • Garnish with lemon slices if desired.
  • Serve and enjoy your refreshing homemade lemonade!

Notes

For a healthier option, you can use honey or agave syrup instead of sugar for a natural sweetness.
Add a splash of sparkling water for a fizzy lemonade.
For a boozy twist, add a shot of vodka or gin to make a lemonade cocktail.
