Ingredients
  

  • 4 bagels - split in half
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce - or marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese - for topping
  • 1/4 cup sliced pepperoni - optional
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil - for brushing
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning - optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Slice each bagel in half and place them on a baking sheet, cut side up.
  • Spread a tablespoon of pizza sauce on each bagel half using a spoon.
  • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce on each bagel.
  • Add pepperoni slices on top of the cheese, if desired.
  • Brush the outer edges of the bagels with olive oil and sprinkle Italian seasoning on top, if using.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.
  • Remove from the oven, let cool for a minute, and enjoy your Pizza Bagels!

Notes

Variations: Use whole wheat bagels for a healthier option, or mini bagels for bite-sized snacks.
Tip: If you don't have pizza sauce, marinara sauce works just as well!
Helpful Notes: For extra flavor, sprinkle some Italian seasoning or crushed red pepper over the cheese before baking.
