Equipment

  • 1 muddler or wooden spoon
  • 1 cocktail shaker
  • 1 mason jar or tall glass
  • 1 cocktail strainer
  • 1 tall spoon
  • 1 knife
  • 1 cutting board

Ingredients
  

  • ½ kiwi - peeled and diced
  • 6-8 fresh mint leaves
  • ½ lime - cut into wedges
  • 1 tsp granulated sugar
  • 2 oz white rum
  • 4 oz club soda
  • Ice cubes
  • Extra lime wedges and mint sprigs for garnish - optional

Instructions
 

  • In a cocktail shaker, add kiwi, mint leaves, lime wedges, and sugar.
  • Use a muddler or wooden spoon to gently muddle the ingredients together, releasing the flavors and juices.
  • Add rum and ice cubes to the shaker and shake well.
  • Fill a mason jar or tall glass with ice cubes and strain the mixture from the shaker into the glass.
  • Top with club soda and stir gently with a tall spoon.
  • Garnish with lime wedges and mint sprigs, if desired.
  • Serve and enjoy your delicious Kiwi Mojito!

Notes

For a non-alcoholic version, omit the rum and add extra club soda or sparkling water.
You can also use white grape juice or coconut water instead of rum for a refreshing mocktail.
For a spicy kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or a few slices of jalapeno to the shaker.
Experiment with different fruits like strawberries or pineapple for a twist on this recipe.
