Equipment

  • 1 Teapot or Teacup
  • 1 Kettle
  • 1 Tea Infuser

Ingredients

  • 2 cups 500ml water (fresh and filtered)
  • 2 teaspoons 5g jasmine green tea (loose leaf or in a tea bag)
  • 1 tablespoon 15ml honey (optional, for sweetness)
  • 1 slice optional lemon (for serving)

Instructions

  • Boil the water in a kettle until it reaches a rolling boil.
  • Remove the kettle from heat and let the water cool for about 1 minute. The ideal temperature for green tea is around 175°F (80°C).
  • Add the jasmine green tea to a teapot or tea infuser.
  • Pour the hot water over the tea and let it steep for 3-4 minutes depending on your taste preference.
  • If using a tea infuser, remove it after steeping. If using loose tea, strain the tea into cups.
  • Add honey and lemon slice if desired, and enjoy your fragrant jasmine tea!

Notes

To enhance the flavor of your jasmine tea, consider using high-quality loose leaf tea rather than tea bags.
For a more intense jasmine flavor, let the tea steep for a few extra minutes.
This tea can be served with honey or lemon for added sweetness and flavor.
