Ingredients
  

  • 1 quart water - for boiling
  • 2 1/2 cups sugar - to sweeten
  • 3 tablespoons instant coffee - for rich coffee flavor
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla - for aroma and taste
  • 2 1/2 cups vodka - for base spirit

Instructions
 

  • In a saucepan, bring the water, sugar, and instant coffee to a boil.
  • Reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer very slowly for 3 hours. The mixture should become very dark and syrupy.
  • Once done, allow the mixture to cool completely.
  • Add the vanilla and vodka to the cooled mixture and stir well.
  • Transfer to a bottle for storage. Enjoy your homemade Kahlua in desserts or cocktails!

Notes

For an enhanced flavor, consider using freshly brewed coffee instead of instant coffee.
Experiment with different types of vanilla for varied flavor profiles.
