Instructions
In a salted skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion, breaking up the meat with a fork to crumble fine. Drain off excess fat.
Add mustard, vinegar, sugar, water, Worcestershire sauce, celery seed, and Tabasco sauce to the skillet. Mix well.
Add enough catsup to keep the mixture loose and stir to combine.
Reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered for 35 to 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serve the sauce over hot weiners in buns.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add more Tabasco sauce to the meat mixture.You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version!Serve with your favorite hot dog buns and top with shredded cheese, chopped onions, or extra mustard for flavor variation.
