Ingredients
  

  • 1 can of artichoke hearts - drained and rinsed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley - for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, salt, and fresh lemon juice.
  • Cut the artichoke hearts in half lengthwise and place them in the marinade, stirring to coat each piece.
  • Using tongs, place the artichoke hearts on the preheated grill, reserving the remaining marinade.
  • Grill the artichoke hearts for 3-4 minutes on each side, brushing with the marinade halfway through.
  • Once done, remove the artichoke hearts from the grill and place them on a serving platter.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley, if desired.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

You can add some heat to this dish by adding a dash of cayenne pepper to the marinade.
For a more Mediterranean flavor, add some chopped Kalamata olives and feta cheese to the marinade.
If you don't have a grill, you can also make this dish in a grilling pan on your stovetop. Just follow the same instructions.
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
If you can't find canned artichoke hearts, you can also use frozen ones. Just make sure to thaw them before using in this recipe.
