Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs Yukon Gold potatoes - peeled and cut into chunks
  • 1/2 cup butter - unsalted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 head garlic - roasted and mashed
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions
 

  • Place the peeled and chopped potatoes in a large pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook until potatoes are fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  • Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add the butter, milk, roasted garlic, salt, and pepper. Mash the potatoes until smooth and creamy.
  • Adjust seasoning with more salt and pepper if needed. Serve hot.

Notes

For a vegan version, use dairy-free butter and milk. To enhance the flavor, try adding a sprinkle of fresh chives or grated Parmesan cheese on top before serving.
