1 Saucepan
1 fine-mesh sieve
4 Glasses
- 4 cups water
- 2 tablespoons dried culinary lavender buds
- 1/4 cup honey - or to taste
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
Remove from heat and add the dried culinary lavender buds. Steep for 5 minutes.
Strain the lavender-infused water through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher, discarding the lavender buds.
Stir in the honey and lemon juice until well combined.
Chill the tea in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or until cold.
Serve over ice.
This tea is best served chilled over ice. You can adjust the amount of honey to your preference. For a stronger lavender flavor, steep the lavender flowers for an additional minute or two.
Variations: Add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice for a citrusy note. You can also experiment with adding other complementary herbs like mint or chamomile.
Tips: Ensure you use culinary-grade lavender flowers. If you can't find dried lavender, you can try using a very small amount of lavender extract, but be careful as it is potent.
