Ingredients
  

  • 1 package of phyllo dough
  • 1 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup chopped almonds
  • 1 cup chopped pistachios
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease the bottom of the baking dish with butter.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the chopped nuts and cinnamon.
  • Place a sheet of phyllo dough into the baking dish and brush with melted butter. Repeat with six more sheets.
  • Sprinkle 1/3 of the nut mixture over the top of the phyllo layers.
  • Continue layering phyllo and butter, then the nut mixture, until all the ingredients are used up.
  • Cut the baklava into diamond-shaped pieces using a sharp knife.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  • In a saucepan, combine the sugar, water, honey, and lemon juice. Bring to a boil and simmer for 15 minutes, until slightly thickened.
  • Pour the syrup over the hot baklava, making sure to pour over all the cut lines.
  • Let the baklava cool for at least 2

Notes

You can use a mix of different nuts, such as almonds, walnuts, pistachios, and pecans.
If the phyllo dough is too big for your baking dish, you can trim it down to fit.
For a richer flavor, you can also add a teaspoon of rose water to the syrup mixture.
