Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  • Combine wet and dry ingredients, then fold in chocolate chips.
  • Heat griddle or skillet over medium heat and grease lightly.
  • Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the griddle for each pancake.
  • Cook pancakes until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown on both sides.
  • Serve warm with additional chocolate chips and maple syrup if desired.

Notes

For a healthier option, you can substitute whole wheat flour for all-purpose flour.
To make these pancakes extra decadent, drizzle some maple syrup or chocolate sauce on top before serving.
