Ingredients
  

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts - pounded to an even thickness
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 400℉ (200℃).
  • In a shallow dish, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning.
  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  • Dip each chicken breast in the breadcrumb mixture, coating both sides.
  • In a frying pan, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add chicken breasts and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  • Transfer the chicken to a baking sheet and top each piece with marinara sauce and shredded mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Serve hot and enjoy your delicious Chicken Parmesan!

Notes

For a healthier alternative, try baking the chicken instead of frying it. You can also add some fresh basil leaves to garnish the dish.
