Ingredients
  

  • 1 pizza dough - store-bought or homemade
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil - for brushing
  • 2 medium pears - thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon butter - for caramelizing
  • 1/2 cup gorgonzola cheese - crumbled
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese - shredded
  • 1 cup arugula - fresh
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze - for drizzling
  • salt - to taste
  • pepper - to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside to heat.
  • In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sliced pears and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are soft and golden brown. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  • Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  • Carefully transfer the rolled-out dough onto a parchment paper.
  • Brush the dough lightly with olive oil. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over the surface.
  • Distribute the caramelized pears evenly over the cheese, followed by the crumbled gorgonzola.
  • Transfer the pizza (with parchment) onto the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  • Once baked, remove the pizza from the oven and top with fresh arugula and a drizzle of balsamic glaze. Slice and serve immediately.

Notes

To make this pizza even more special, consider adding walnuts for a delightful crunch.
For a vegetarian twist, use a whole wheat crust!
This pizza is best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in the fridge for 1-2 days.
