Equipment

  • 1 Baking sheet
  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 Spatula

Ingredients

  • 1 French baguette - sliced into 1/2 inch thick slices
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese - fresh, for creamy texture
  • 1/4 cup honey - preferably raw for rich flavor
  • 1/2 cup walnuts - chopped for crunch
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil - for drizzling on bread
  • Salt - to taste
  • Fresh black pepper - to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet and drizzle them lightly with olive oil.
  • Toast in the oven for about 5 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese with a pinch of salt and black pepper.
  • Spread a generous amount of the ricotta mixture onto each slice of toasted baguette.
  • Drizzle honey over the ricotta on each slice.
  • Top with chopped walnuts.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For a twist, try adding some fresh basil or a sprinkle of cinnamon on top. Serve immediately to enjoy the contrast between the warm toasted bread and the cool, creamy ricotta.
Substitutions: Swap walnuts for pecans or almonds if preferred. You can also use a different soft cheese like goat cheese or mascarpone for a unique flavor.
