1 Knife
- 1 loaf French bread - sliced in half horizontally
- 1/2 cup butter - softened
- 1 cup shredded jack cheese
- 1 cup shredded asiago cheese
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 bunch green onions - chopped
- 2 cloves garlic - pureed
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, jack cheese, asiago cheese, mayonnaise, chopped green onions, and pureed garlic. Blend well until smooth.
Spread the cheese mixture generously over the cut sides of the French bread.
Place the prepared bread on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 7 minutes.
After baking, switch the oven to broil and place the bread under the broiler for about 3 minutes or until the top is golden and bubbly.
Remove from oven, let cool slightly, then cut into slices and serve warm.
For a more intense garlic flavor, consider adding a little extra garlic puree. You can also mix in some herbs like parsley or basil for added freshness.
