Ingredients
  

  • 3 large - 6-inch pita breads (whole wheat or white)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil - extra virgin recommended
  • 1 teaspoon salt - adjust to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder - optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika - optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cut each pita bread into 8 triangles.
  • In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, salt, garlic powder, and paprika together.
  • Place the pita triangles on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  • Brush or spray the olive oil mixture on both sides of the pita triangles.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until golden and crispy, turning halfway through.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, feel free to add herbs and spices to the olive oil mixture, such as garlic powder, paprika, or dried oregano.
If you want a spicy kick, sprinkle some chili powder on top of the chips before baking.
Store leftover pita chips in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
