Baked Camembert with Honey and Walnuts

Equipment

  • 1 oven-safe baking dish
  • Aluminum foil
  • Small knife
  • Small spoon
  • Baking sheet

Ingredients
  

  • 1 wheel of Camembert cheese - approximately 8 ounces
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • Bread or crackers for serving

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Place the Camembert cheese in the center of an oven-safe baking dish.
  • Using a small knife, score the top of the cheese in a criss-cross pattern.
  • Drizzle honey over the top of the cheese, making sure to get some in between the cuts.
  • Sprinkle the chopped walnuts over the top of the cheese.
  • Cover the baking dish with foil and place it on a baking sheet.
  • Bake for 15 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese is soft and gooey.
  • Serve immediately with bread or crackers for dipping.

Notes

You can also add dried cranberries or figs for an extra touch of sweetness.
This recipe can easily be doubled for a larger crowd. Simply use a bigger wheel of cheese and adjust the cooking time accordingly.
