This baked Camembert is a delicious appetizer perfect for any dinner party. The creamy cheese paired with sweet honey and crunchy walnuts is an irresistible combination.
1wheel of Camembert cheese - approximately 8 ounces
2tablespoonshoney
1/4cupchopped walnuts
Bread or crackers for serving
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Place the Camembert cheese in the center of an oven-safe baking dish.
Using a small knife, score the top of the cheese in a criss-cross pattern.
Drizzle honey over the top of the cheese, making sure to get some in between the cuts.
Sprinkle the chopped walnuts over the top of the cheese.
Cover the baking dish with foil and place it on a baking sheet.
Bake for 15 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese is soft and gooey.
Serve immediately with bread or crackers for dipping.
Notes
You can also add dried cranberries or figs for an extra touch of sweetness.This recipe can easily be doubled for a larger crowd. Simply use a bigger wheel of cheese and adjust the cooking time accordingly.
