Equipment

  • 1 baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Small saucepan
  • Spatula

Ingredients
  

  • 1 wheel of brie cheese - 8 oz
  • 1/4 cup fig jam
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 loaf of French baguette - sliced

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place the brie cheese on the parchment paper and bake for 10 minutes.
  • While the brie is baking, heat the fig jam in a small saucepan over medium heat until it becomes runny.
  • Remove the brie from the oven and spread the warm fig jam on top of the cheese.
  • Sprinkle the chopped walnuts on top of the fig jam.
  • Place the baking sheet back in the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the brie is melted and bubbly.
  • Serve the baked brie with slices of French baguette for dipping.

Notes

You can also use other types of nut like almonds or pistachios, or add honey for extra sweetness.
This dish also pairs well with a glass of red wine.
