- Fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth
- Wide-mouthed glass jar or bottle
- Zester or vegetable peeler
- Measuring cups and spoons
- Wooden spoon
- Funnel (optional)
Ingredients
- 10-12 organic lemons
- 1 liter 95% grain alcohol or vodka

Instructions

- In a large pot, combine the lemon zest and alcohol. Cover and let it steep for 7 days in a cool, dark place.
- After 7 days, strain the lemon zest from the alcohol using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth.
- In a separate pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add in 2 cups of sugar and stir until dissolved. Let the simple syrup cool completely.
- Add the simple syrup to the alcohol mixture and stir well.
- Using a funnel, transfer the Limoncello to a glass jar or bottle. Seal tightly and let it continue to steep for another 3-4 days.
- After the additional steeping period, your homemade Limoncello is ready to enjoy! Serve chilled or on ice.
