Tips and Notes
- Lemons: Use organic lemons to avoid pesticides on the peel. Wash them thoroughly before zesting to ensure they’re clean.
- Vodka: Choose a high-quality vodka for the best flavor. The smoother the vodka, the better the final product will be.
- Steeping Time: Allow the lemon zest to steep in the vodka for at least 1 week, but 2-4 weeks is ideal for a more robust flavor.
- Simple Syrup: Make simple syrup by dissolving sugar in water over low heat. Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less syrup according to your taste.
- Storage: Store your Homemade Limoncello in the freezer for a refreshing chill. It will keep well for up to 6 months.
Enjoy the refreshing taste of Limoncello as a delightful addition to your culinary adventures!
