Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups water
  • 6 bags of black tea
  • 3 inch piece of fresh ginger peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves plus extra for garnish
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • Lemon slices for garnish optional

Instructions
 

  • In a medium pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
  • Once boiling, remove from heat and add 6 bags of black tea, ginger, and 1/2 cup of fresh mint leaves. Let steep for 5 minutes.
  • Using a strainer, strain tea into a large pitcher. Discard the tea bags and ginger slices.
  • Stir in honey until completely dissolved.
  • Refrigerate for 1-2 hours until chilled.
  • Serve over ice and garnish with fresh mint leaves and lemon slices, if desired.

Notes

For a stronger ginger flavor, add more ginger slices while steeping the tea.
