Equipment

  • 1 cocktail shaker
  • 1 strainer
  • 1 cocktail glass
  • 1 espresso machine
  • 1 jigger or measuring cup

Ingredients
  

  • 1 shot - 1.5 oz of vodka
  • 1 shot - 1.5 oz of espresso
  • 1 shot - 1.5 oz of coffee liqueur
  • 3-4 ice cubes
  • 3 coffee beans for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Brew a shot of espresso and allow it to cool.
  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
  • Add the vodka, espresso, and coffee liqueur to the shaker.
  • Shake vigorously for 30 seconds.
  • Strain the mixture into a chilled cocktail glass.
  • Use the back of a spoon to hold the foam and pour the espresso over the foam.
  • Garnish with 3 coffee beans on top.

Notes

For a creamier texture, you can add a splash of heavy cream to the shaker.
For a stronger espresso flavor, you can use a double shot (2 oz) of espresso.
To make a non-alcoholic version, replace the vodka with cold brew coffee.
